A.    B.Ed. Course

Eligibility:

For Physical Science, Bio Science, Mathematics and English, the candidates should have secured a minimum of 45%in part III of the degree in the subject for which admission is sought in the B.Ed. course. For Economics and Commerce, only post graduate candidate are eligible. For SC/ST candidates, the eligibility requirement is a pass in the relevant degree/post graduation degree.

6.      Pedagogy of Commerce and Accountancy

Group C: Optional Course

1.      Yoga, Health and Physical Education

2.      Environmental Education

3.      Information and Communication Technology in Education

B.     M.Ed.Course

Eligibility:

Candidates with 50% marks in Theory and Practical separately in B.Ed. degree.

Admission on Merit by Reservation                :           25

Management Quota                                       :           25

Fees                                                              :           As per Government Norms

Dissertation: A dissertation related to education should be undertaken. Viva-voce examination will be held after the submission of dissertation to the university.

Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction of the course shall be in English

Medium of Writing Examination: The medium of writing examination of the course shall be in English & Tamil.

Examination Fees: As per Government norms.

Selection Procedure: For fifty percent of the seats, selection shall be made on the ranking of the candidate on the basis of percentage of marks in B.Ed. subject to communal quota and special category reservation of the government of the Tamilnadu.
